Enterprise Technical Architect – Infrastructure
 
An IT Infrastructure Technical Architect required for this exciting opportunity with a true leader in the world of advanced automotive engineering based on the Northamptonshire / Oxfordshire / Bucks border (commutable from Banbury, Silverstone, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Bicester, Oxford etc). Joining at a time of significant change as our client is looks to move away from a traditional to a more heavily DevOps approach, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a significant role in a vibrant and passionate team environment where excellence comes as standard. The post will appeal to Technical Architects that enjoy defining the IT Technology road maps, designing the future IT Infrastructure and supporting smaller day to day projects whilst being able to work closely with a highly skilled team of Engineers / colleagues to make it all a reality.
 
Main Responsibilities Amongst Others Include; 

  • Lead research, evaluation, and selection of technology to underpin the designed future state of the IT
  • Define and be accountable for the IT Technology roadmaps
  • Produce infrastructure architecture designs, standards, building blocks and patterns across the entire technology and service offering ensuring reusability wherever
  • Drive digital innovation through new technologies and approaches to improve and transform the existing IT
  • Coach, mentor and collaborate with other members of the department and wider
  • Champion modern technology practices such as Everything as Code and DevOps across the 

To be suitable for this post the right individual will need to demonstrate real Technical Architect experience of similar enterprise level IT Infrastructure environments ideally but not essentially using TOGAF / ADM frameworks. In addition, you will be expected to tick most, if not all the following


  • Demonstrable documentation skills including HLD, LLD, roadmap, blueprints, technology building
  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to present technology concepts to senior business
  • Knowledge of many, if not most, aspects of an enterprise technology
  • Knowledge of key technologies for both Windows and Linux OS, especially on-premise cloud­ native ones, Azure AD, virtualization (VMWare & OpenStack), containerization (Singularity, Docker, K8S and Rancher).
  • Knowledge of modern infrastructure practices such as building CI/CD pipelines and building agile, adaptive infrastructure platforms using Azure DevOps and
  • Ability to balance the long-term (big picture) and short-term implications of individual
  • Demonstrate and foster a collaborative team approach empowering everyone to succeed and
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment with continual demands and changing
  • Strong, confident, self-motivated and willing to take ownership and accountability for the current and future IT infrastructure
  • Used to working within frameworks such as ITIL, TOGAF, 

In return you can expect an attractive package with salary expected to be in the region of £70,000 - £80,000 although we would still be interested in hearing from you if you more than meet the requirements of the post but expect a higher base salary.
